What Are "Man Boobs" or Gynecomastia?

Some cases of gynecomastia has no clear cause. However, there are some potentially pathologic causes of gynecomastia.

These are:

in increased serum estrogen,

-reduced testosterone production

-androgen receptor defects

-chronic renal disease

-chronic liver disease

HIV

-other chronic diseases

Statistics

The drug is the cause of 10-20% of all cases gynocomastia that occur in children. Drugs are attributed to this are cimetidine, omeprazole, spironolactone, imatinib mesylate, finasteride and certain antipsychotics. Some of these drugs cause problems directly into the breast tissue, while others lead to the hormone prolactin from the pituitary gland to block the activity of dopamine cells lactotrope croups. Androstenedione may lead to breast augmentation as well. This is a great addition to the 90-ies when it was first used by Mark McGuire. Androstene as it is often called causing excess estrogen activity.
